Values/Sustainable Tourism
our values
Go Cotswolds is Friendly, Authentic and Responsible – choose us, and we’ll go FAR together!
FRIENDLY
- At Go Cotswolds, you’re not a ‘passenger’, or even a ‘customer’, you’re our guest – and we can’t wait to show you around our beautiful part of the world!
- From your initial enquiry to post-tour follow-up, we aim to be helpful, kind and open. If we can’t help, we’ll say so, and always try to offer helpful alternatives.
- Whether you’re travelling solo or with friends or family, we want to make every guest feel welcome, safe, secure, informed – and have a great time!
- We treat our guests, colleagues, partners and contractors with warmth and respect, and expect the same in return.
AUTHENTIC
- We’re local people and never pretend to be something we’re not; we’re down-to-earth, genuine and respectful – and we wear our cheerful branding with pride.
- We reveal ‘real life’ here in the Cotswolds – both the light and the shade. We share personal stories you won’t find in the guidebooks, and deliver authentic, carefully curated experiences.
- Our tours include plenty of free time away from your guide – because we know our guests love to explore and don’t always want to follow the crowd.
- We support local charities and champion small, independent, local businesses who share our ethics, values and commitment to the local economy.
- We never buy fake reviews or social media bots, all photos are our own (no AI here!), and we never copy or rip off other operators – it’s been done to us, and it’s just not cricket!
RESPONSIBLE
Our vehicles are all Euro-6 compliant, meaning they emit such little pollution, they are exempt from charges in Low and Ultra-Low Emissions Zones.
We support ‘Caring for the Cotswolds’ and match-fund all our guests’ donations, because it’s important for us to do our bit too.
- We are members of the Cotswold Way Association to support the amazing work of the Cotswolds Voluntary Wardens, and donate to The Rollright Trust to help maintain the ancient Rollright Stones.
We are members of Good Journey, Cotswolds Tourism, Shakespeare’s England and Experience Oxfordshire, which promote responsible tourism in our region. We’re also a Cotswolds Tourism Sustainability Champion.
We are on a journey to obtain Green Tourism certification – hopefully one day we’ll be B-Corp, too!
