Wow! I can’t actually believe it’s the middle of August already.
We’ve had such a great response to our tours of the Cotswolds so far this summer we’ve barely had the chance to take a step back and take it all in let alone write a blog post about it.
Today has been one of those rare catch up days so here’s a quick blog post to say hello.
When I started working on Go Cotswolds at the beginning of 2014 I had no idea of how things were going to pan out. I knew it would be something that I’d ultimately enjoy myself but as a natural born pessimist (really, I am!) it was something I wasn’t sure was going work in Stratford-upon-Avon.
500+ visitors on our scheduled tours alone later (and 75+ reviews on TripAdvisor) I’m now coming around to the idea that Go Cotswolds could be an established service that visitors to Stratford-upon-Avon appreciate the option of having. The feedback from local accommodation providers, organisations and independent businesses also seem to suggest this too (thanks for your support guys!)
Travel is something that always has and always will fascinate me. The thought that Go Cotswolds is having an impact on a person’s travel experience when they’re in the area is what gives me such a buzz when I’m taking a group out on a tour.
People often ask if I get bored of visiting the same places. With a different group every time and the seasonal changing beauty of the Cotswolds as my backdrop how could I?!
I basically feel like I’m on the tour with our customers – sharing travel stories and taking in the beauty of the Cotswolds. The fact that it’s me dishing out the maps and telling the stories doesn’t change a thing. I’m still a just a wide eyed traveller myself!
Our day tours of the Cotswolds continue to leave Stratford-upon-Avon on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays throughout the year so if you’d like to come and experience one for yourself then do come and join us.
For more information please have a look through our website or get in touch! At this time of the year we recommend booking as far in advance as possible as tours do fill up quickly. On rare occasions our tour schedule changes so please do check our bookings page where we have our most up-to-date tour listing.
