Your Festive Day Out

Here’s a detailed look at what you can expect on this special day.

Pick up times and locations

09:50 – Pick-up from Stratford-upon-Avon
We’ll collect our first guests from the Shakespeare’s Birthplace Coach Terminal in the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon – the perfect starting point for anyone visiting Shakespeare’s home town! It’s also handy if you’d like to take a day trip by train from Birmingham – catch the West Midlands Railway service from Birmingham Snow Hill or Moor Street to Stratford-upon-Avon, and our pick up point is just a short walk away.

10:30 – Pick-up from Moreton-in-Marsh Train Station
Next, we’ll meet our final travellers at this bustling Cotswolds gateway. Whether you’re staying in Moreton-in-Marsh, or taking the train from London Paddington, Reading, Oxford, Evesham or Worcester, the railway station at Moreton-in-Marsh is very convenient!

When we’ve gathered all our passengers, we’ll head off to our first stop.

The Moreton-in-Marsh Christmas Market tour

11:15 – Bibury (30 minutes)
Our Christmas adventure begins in Bibury, often called the most beautiful village in England! Explore the iconic Arlington Row, a picture-perfect collection of honey-coloured stone cottages, which look like they’re straight out of a Christmas card. Perfect for capturing those magical winter photographs – make sure there’s room on your phone!

12:20 – Bourton-on-the-Water (45 minutes)
Known as the “Venice of the Cotswolds,” Bourton-on-the-Water is even more enchanting during the festive season. Wander along its fairy-lit waterside, enjoy a spot of lunch, and soak up the festive charm of this much-loved village.

13:30 – Snowshill (20 minutes)
Nestled in the rolling Cotswold hills, Snowshill is a quintessentially English village with cosy cottages and breath-taking views. Take in the peaceful beauty of this hidden gem and the picturesque cottages – especially magical at this time of year.

14:00 – BONUS STOP! Broadway (45 minutes)
Since Moreton-in-Marsh’s Christmas Market is sadly no longer going ahead, we’re going to make a bonus visit to the gorgeous village of Broadway instead. Broadway is already in the Christmas spirit – the Christmas decorations are already up, and the many wonderful independent shops lining the main street are bursting with fabulous gifts and treats. So, you can still get your Christmas shopping started!

15:00 – Chipping Campden (60 minutes)
Arrive in the historic market town of Chipping Campden, where Christmas spirit fills the air. Browse charming boutique shops, admire the golden stone buildings, and enjoy the festive cheer in this delightful Cotswold town.

16:20 – Moreton-in-Marsh Christmas Market Lights Switch-On
Our final stop is Moreton-in-Marsh. The Christmas market will not be going ahead unfortunately, but you can still get into the Christmas mood! A small charity Christmas market will be taking place inside the Town Hall, so do pop in, have a go on the tombola, and support some great local organisations! At 17.00, gather in the High Street and join in the countdown for the Grand Christmas Lights Switch On! Retail shops don’t close until around 17.30, so there’s still time for shopping and exploring, and of course the pubs will stay open late if you fancy a festive tipple!

Getting home

If you’re staying in Moreton-in-Marsh or taking the train back to London, Reading, Oxford, Evesham or Worcester, we’ll leave you in Moreton-in-Marsh to explore, and you’ll make your own way home from here.

For those returning to Stratford-upon-Avon, we’ll collect you from Moreton-in-Marsh at 18:00. It takes around 30 minutes to get back to Stratford-upon-Avon from here. Your heart will be filled with Christmas joy and your camera full of memories!
