We’re proud to announce that we’ve recently signed up to support the Visitor Giving Scheme for Cotswolds AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). Those of you that follow us on Twitter may have seen us talking about it in their recent Cotswolds AONB – Autumn update video that appeared on YouTube that we retweeted!
We will soon offer our customers the opportunity to donate to the scheme by adding an optional donation when they purchase tickets for all of our tours online. This donation will go straight to the Visitor Giving scheme and support the preservation of the unique and beautiful area that we visit on our tours.
The reason we do what we do is because we love the Cotswolds and love showing off its unique charm to visitors from outside the area. By donating to the Visitor Giving Scheme it gives our customers the opportunity to donate directly to the area they come to appreciate and helps to preserve it for future generations to enjoy as well.
The money raised goes to support projects right across the Cotswolds, delivered by the many committed organisations who are working hard to look after the things that make the Cotswolds special. More details can be found on the Cotswolds AONB website.
These projects are delivered by the many committed organisations who are working hard to look after the things that make the Cotswolds special. The projects which are supported are designed to conserve and enhance the natural beauty of the landscape, manage and restore habitats for wildlife, manage and improve footpaths and bridleways and look after the area’s distinctive historical heritage.
A list of the current projects the Visitor Giving Scheme is supporting can be found on the Cotswolds AONB visitor giving webpage.
Our website is currently being updated. This update will contain the option donate to the scheme at checkout but if you join a tour before this is then please let us know and we’ll happily collect your donation on the day of the tour and deliver it directly to the Cotswolds AONB Visitor Giving Scheme.
