At last! The news we have been waiting so patiently to share with you: Go Cotswolds’ reopening will be on Monday 17 May 2021!
But’s that’s not all – we have also launched a NEW tour, a NEW website, and a NEW email newsletter. Let me tell you all about it!
Go Cotswolds’ reopening – 17 May 2021
At first, we’ll only allow up to 10 people per tour, so that we can socially distance on board our minibus. Face coverings will still be needed, and we’ll be conducting our COVID-19 protocols, as we did in August to October last year.
But, if the UK’s vaccination programme continues to hit targets, and the infection rate continues to plummet, Government tell us that ALL restrictions could be lifted by 21st June. Hurray!

Introducing our NEW Cotswolds Trails & Villages tour
Designed with active visitors in mind, our Cotswolds Trails & Villages tour will get you out of the minibus and on to the trails. Perhaps you’ve ‘done’ a Cotswolds tour before, or you’re looking for a new perspective on the Cotswolds. This is the tour for you.
Here’s the itinerary:
- Walk to Broadway Tower (2.5 km/1.6 miles, allowing 45 minutes). Your guide will lead you through ancient woodland and across gentle rolling countryside. Here you’ll find Broadway Tower, on top of the second highest point in the Cotswolds.
- Broadway Tower (40 minutes free time). Admire far-reaching views across the Cotswolds and see if you can spot the herd of resident red deer. There’s a coffee shop, gift shop and toilets here. For an extra fee, you can also climb the Tower, if you wish.
- Broadway. Walk back to the minibus with your guide and drive to Broadway. Or, if you’re feeling energetic, continue your walk down the hill. You’ll follow part of The Cotswold Way National Trail (4 km/2.5 miles). Either way, you’ll arrive in the lovely village of Broadway. Here you can enjoy free time (up to 1 hour 30 mins) for lunch and shopping.
- Bourton-on-the-Water. If you’ve had enough walking for the day, stay and soak up the energy and beauty of this picture-postcard village. It’s known as the “Venice of the Cotswolds” for the pretty river running through the centre. (Allow up to 2.5 hours free time).
- Circular walk to Lower and Upper Slaughter (4.5 miles, allowing 1 hour 45 minutes). For those with some miles still in their legs, join your guide on a circular Cotswolds walking tour. Starting and ending in Bourton-on-the-Water, you’ll visit Lower Slaughter, the “most romantic village in England”, and the equally pretty Upper Slaughter.
Go Cotswolds tours – now EVERY DAY!
Another exciting announcement! Between May and September, we will have a Go Cotswolds tour every day of the week!
Our award-winning, signature Cotswolds day tour, now slightly rebranded as the ‘Cotswolds in a Day’ tour, will take place 5 times per week. Cotswolds Trails & Villages will take place two times per week, and our Brewery, Pub Lunch & The Cotswolds tour will be every Saturday.
If you come to Stratford-upon-Avon or the Cotswolds for a weekend break, you can even take each one of our tours on a different day. Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Monday, you can take all three tours.
