Your Festive Day Out
Here’s a detailed look at what you can expect on this special day (6th December).
Pick up times and locations
11:50 – Pick-up from Stratford-upon-Avon
We’ll collect our first guests from the Shakespeare’s Birthplace Coach Terminal in the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon – the perfect starting point for anyone visiting Shakespeare’s home town! It’s also handy if you’d like to take a day trip by train from Birmingham – catch the West Midlands Railway service from Birmingham Snow Hill or Moor Street to Stratford-upon-Avon, and our pick up point is just a short walk away.
12:30 – Pick-up from Moreton-in-Marsh Train Station
Next, we’ll meet our final travellers at this bustling Cotswolds gateway. Whether you’re staying in Moreton-in-Marsh, or taking the train from London Paddington, Reading, Oxford, Evesham or Worcester, the railway station at Moreton-in-Marsh is very convenient!
When we’ve gathered all our passengers, we’ll head off to our first stop.
The Broadway Christmas tour
13:15 – Bibury (30 minutes)
Our Christmas adventure begins in Bibury, often called the most beautiful village in England! Explore the iconic Arlington Row, a picture-perfect collection of honey-coloured stone cottages, which look like they’re straight out of a Christmas card. Perfect for capturing those magical winter photographs – make sure there’s room on your phone!
14:20 – Bourton-on-the-Water (60 minutes)
Known as the “Venice of the Cotswolds,” Bourton-on-the-Water is even more enchanting during the festive season. Wander along its fairy-lit waterside, enjoy a spot of lunch, and soak up the festive charm of this much-loved village.
13:50 – Snowshill (20 minutes)
Nestled in the rolling Cotswold hills, Snowshill is a quintessentially English village with cosy cottages and breath-taking views. Take in the peaceful beauty of this hidden gem and the picturesque cottages – especially magical at this time of year.
15:45 – Stow-on-the-Wold (60 minutes)
Arrive in the historic market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, where Christmas spirit fills the air. Browse charming boutique shops, admire the golden stone buildings, and enjoy the festive cheer in this delightful Cotswold town.
17:15 – Broadway Late Night Christmas Shopping
Our final stop is Broadway, where you won’t be able to help feeling Christmassy! This already beautiful village really cranks up the Christmas cheer, with its fabulous Christmas lights and festively decorated independent shops. On the evening of 6th December, many of these stores stay open late, so you can get a head start on your Christmas gift shopping! There’ll be superbly seasonal entertainment throughout the evening too – you may even get a glimpse of the Big Man himself! 🎅

Getting home
We’ve timed this tour a little later than our usual tours, so we’ll depart Broadway at approximately 19.15. This will give you plenty of time to explore the wonderful shops and really soak up the Christmassy atmosphere!|
We’ll return to Moreton-in-Marsh by 19.40, so if you’re taking the train back to London, Reading or Oxford, you’ll be in time to catch the 19.47 train home.
It takes around 30 minutes to get back to Stratford-upon-Avon from Moreton-in-Marsh, so for those needing to return to Stratford-upon-Avon, plan on being back at around 20.15, approximately. Your heart will be filled with Christmas joy and your camera full of memories!
